Raised in the Boston suburbs, Shane began his career at age 17, playing live music and DJing local high schools. Later as a touring musician he opened for many national acts playing to crowds of 20,000 plus. Recording his second album by the age of 18, he had already sold over 15,000 copies independently.
Coming from a family of musicians, at the age of 22, Shane's father hand built a small recording studio, this was the point where he knew he would make music his life. Spending years behind the console learning and critiquing his art, he has “carved himself a solid reputation at being the best“. Being extremely knowledgeable in all music industry contracts and laws he is a member in good standing with the Audio Engineering Society (AES) & BMI.
In 2006, Shane started “New England Music Group” a full Audio/Visual Production company, providing essential elements of entertainment (lights, stage, sound & video) at various nightclubs, festivals, concerts, and special events. Now, with well over 15 years of experience and Major Label Credits, he has become a very diverse individual having built a “industry empire” recording, producing, engineering, directing and editing, audio and video.
As an official judge for the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Shane decided to scout and sign various local artists / bands for Digital Distribution into major digital retailers such as iTunes, Rhapsody, AmazonMP3, Emusic, Napster, Spotify, and MediaNet. Over his career he has worked with New England’s “top performers”, including Sony Records’ recording artists Boys Like Girls, Fred Shafer, Love & Opium, The Vetts & Rocket to the Moon.
